.. but i expected the veddar to have a bunch in , just to get in my way . but there not there are they done and spawned and dead ? cause i didn't see any on the shores . or did they not return in the mass amounts predicted ?

I think the return was crap this year and most of them have died or are dying now.

u r just a bit late on the pinks, james.  i went to the vedder last monday for pinks, but couldn't seem to find any fresh ones.  lots of them dying in the river drifting around, or u can find the carcasess lying along the shore.  those in the water that i saw were mostly battered, bruised, with big hump and most of them don't even care to bite anymore.  there might still be some fresh fish coming in, but u need lots of luck to catch a nice one now.

ok thanks ,i didn't want tocatch any of them . I just was wondering why there were not many there , i only saw a few dead too . Must have been  a low return . Because 2 ys ago it was hard to keep them from getting on my line while i was targeting coho.s .

probably commercial sector, if you look at return rates for each year on different rivers/runs you will see some years do very poorly, like the vedder pinks this year.Got to love them seines!
