On a topic which is sorta NFR but kinda strange: as we were heading up up the highway from Burnaby going over the Port Mann on Sat heading for the Vedder we noticed four flatbed trucks in a convoy each with what looked like (3) large stainless steel cylinders. We thought this looked unusual so we looked closer and noticed that each cylinder had three stickers on them saying danger -caustic and corrosive; fissible material and finally radio-active!! It kinda looks like there was some very dangerous stuff in those barrels, but what I wanted to know was where did it come from and why no police or military escort? Makes one wonder in these times. Wish I had my camera with me as I would've taken a few shots. Buddy postulated that it may have been spent fuel rods from one of the nuclear power plants in Ontario which was trained out here and being trucked to Hanford nuclear storage site in Washinton state. Anybody have any ideas??
