« on: December 30, 2005, 12:09:34 AM »

Sorry for the thread high jacking.....

Jetboatjim, I heard there was a problem with bass on the brunette over the past few years. Disgraceful if you ask me!! I hope they're working on that problem.

Because they reduce the fry density, therefore increasing smolt size and subsequent ocean survival????? Yes, sounds like a good idea!  ::)

they prob came from the lake, but from illegal stocking. The lake was stocked in 40's with smallies but they later relised this was a prob, so out came the rutinone (fishacide) so no BASS should be there.

as for bass being good for salmon and steelhead, what fry the bass dont eat ,will come back and be very strong.....I call bull $hit .....but I was warned that killing alien spieces was against the law(since bass have a limit).....

when is there going to be a limit on atlantic salmon? lets start a club and protect them too ;) :-*
we'll call it the "west coast atlantic salmon assn."

Trust me on this one, dont talk about illegal bass eratication on line ,big brother is watching....I've been warned in the past by C.O's ...........BUT YOU SHOULD SEE MY GARDEN GROW!!!
Dont bother till the warmer weather........if there is enough interest in the spring we should have a protest fishery/barbeque...
