Vedder Jan 27th. First steelhead
« on: January 27, 2006, 07:10:51 PM »

A lot of people fishing at lickman road, I saw four guys fishing at the other bank, two guys got two fishes within half an hour,  I noticed one guy only casted 5 times and fish on, very good luck, where is my luck? I know fishing steelhead we have to find the fish, don't wait for the fish to find you, so I changed spots constantly, finally at my last cast, fish on, I saw it headshake with big exciting, I thought it better to be a hachary one when I played with it, few minutes later, the fish swimmed to the shore, I saw clearly it is not a wild, so I prepare to land it, it seems not be able to fight strongly in shallow water, finally i saw its whole body on the sand. the pic is here :

Yeah, that was me, the boy. ;D Itosh, Steelhead King, Fishersak were there too. Unfortunately we didn't see you with the fish on, it must have happened when we went to lunch with Trout Slayer, Chris, bederko and the master. ;D :-[ The two guys who got two hatchery fish one after another at the tailout just after we finished with that section, too bad. :) At the head of that run, where you spent a fair bit of time there, Itosh hooked one that darted downstream immediately and was lost as there was no way to turn it around near the log jam. :-\ No hookup for me today. If I only had bait today... ;)

I'll let Chris to do the rest of the story telling. :)

I got a flat tire on the way home today too, my lucky outing indeed. ::)
