« on: February 21, 2006, 07:47:36 AM »

had a great afternoon on the stamp yesterday left nanaimo around 11 arrived in port around 12:15 headed to moneys pool found the water up there a little clear for our liking so we headed down to the gun club and walked up to the bucket with in minutes the fellow on the top end was into one did i mention this was only the third guy we had seen on the river unfortunately the fish shook his hook so i start to fish back toward the van this being our plan we walked all the way up and were going to fish back down i might of walk a 100 yards when i turn and of course dads(MARCEL) playing one hes been stealheading for a few years now 45 as i walked back toward him my mind is remembering back to the many trips we made and the different rivers we fished when i was a kid during the 70s and 80s he truely is a stealhead sniper you see he  has cancer now but he keeps on going strong and when he gets a rod in his hand there aint nobody better, anyway i get up there just in time to see him land a 10 lb doe (hatchery)hes says you wanna smoke it ,i say you bet , then hes says pink wool right there on the edge well i say i have a little gooey on as i flick it out  it drifts 5 ft down it goes 6 lb doe hatchery its coming home , time to leave the best part of the day though was getting to fish with one of best in the sport   thanks DAD     always my pleasure
