when after the stocking
« on: April 29, 2006, 02:30:13 PM »

I have a very basic question: how many days should I wait before I head to a lake after it is stocked with rainbow trout. I am asking because I got skunked couple of times when I went for them within 2~3 days of stocking. So, as a newbie to trout fishing ....I would like to know the safe margin  ::)

it all depends, it takes them a while for them to clue in they have to fend for them selves, and they wont get fed by pellets every day, i'd say 2 weeks.
