Oregon Fishing
« on: May 19, 2006, 10:06:32 PM »

Have any members fished the Coastal area of Oregon?  My wife would like to go to the Oregon Coast the last two weeks of August.  I haven't been there since before the current wife so I wouldn't mind going again.  But iI wouldn't mind checking out some fishing opportunities.  I am open to anything so I wouldn't mind hearing your experinces or suggestions.  Thanks

I've stayed in Florence Oregon several times before and have fished every time I've been down there. Some of the local lakes are good for bass/coarse fish but I never caught anything large save for the occaisional pike minnow. There is also lots of easily accessable salt water opportunities. You can wander pretty far out on some of the jetties and do pretty decent for flounder and perch.
