Another Cleanup Completed
« on: July 15, 2006, 10:25:00 PM »

The Chilliwack Vedder River got a face cleaning today thanks to the 100 or so volunteers that showed up for the 14th cleanup since the Chilliwack Vedder River Cleanup Coalition was formed nearly 4 years ago.

The only members of the forum that were able to get out today, that is, the ones that I saw at registration was fishforever, Butch (sorry I forgot his member name) Lew, Terry, Buckeye and Buck's wife with family in tow. I may have missed a couple others , if I did I am sure they will file a report of how their cleanup went.

We did not get to all area's we would have liked so I hope more members of this forum will be able to attend our BC River's Day on the last Sunday in September. Please mark it on your calender.

All in alll a good day as we got a few tons of garbage off the river once again today. ;D ;D

Glad to hear that the clean-up went ok!!  I would have loved to go but I had to work.  I will be able to make the next one since it is on a Sunday!! :) At that point I will get a couple of Coho in the morning, then make it out to the clean-up!!  Should be a great day!! ;D

Good stuff. I know July is a bad time for some to attend due to holidays and of course people like you that have to work that day. Of course the price of gas makes it tough also, especially if you are driving all the way from the Vancouver area.

May see you in the afternoon tomorrow as we may slip out after church and catch a bigger one than last Sunday. ;D ;D ;D Hope you chaps have a few on the beach by then. ;D
