The economic chum beach seine fishery will take place from October 17th to October 23rd from 8 am to 5 pm each day. This fishery largely takes place on the Fraser River just downstream of the confluence with the Harrison River.
Common courtesy is to be exercised by all parties when fishing in close proximity.
Any problems should be reported to Sto:lo Fisheries Commission, the RCMP and the DFO ORR line.

The Tidal Fraser also has an economic chum fishery opening, for Musqueam and Tsawwassen bands from October 17th to 20th.

October 17 08:00 to 08:00 Friday October 20, 2006 from the mouth of the Fraser
River, to the power lines immediately downstream of the Port Mann bridge.
Only individuals designated by the Musqueam and Tsawwassen Indian Bands are
authorized to participate in this fishery.
Sale of chum, chinook and mortally wounded sockeye caught under this licence is
permitted. Sale of coho caught under authority of this licence is not
permitted. All aspects of the communal licence will be enforced.
