My friend and I went up to Harrison river at Kilby.  Fished the shoreline from the trestles to Hwy 7 bridge.  Never saw a single cutty or stickleback.  Watched 10 eagles in the trees and surrounding area.  It was beautiful up there.  We then went down to the back water of the Fraser in front of Fraser River Lodge.  Nothing there either.  Saw about 15 eagles on the beach across from us.  Great sight to behold. 
It was so refreshing to get out in the wild and destress after a very busy and trying 2 months without getting out fishing. 
Looking forward to hitting the waters more in the next couple of weeks.  Praying that the weather holds and we get some favourable conditons.

I too went out last week and touched nothing, lots of dying salmon and a few socks.

that's not a great place for cutthroat in the winter - Fraser backwaters and some of the sloughs are a better bet.

Flyrod, that spot on the Fraser in front of the lodge is cool. I try and camp there a couple of times a year as I find the view of Mt. Cheam to be simply amazing.

I am going out again this week chasing Cutties.  Probably take the boat and go up on the Harrison River around the graveyard and back waters.  Also, the Herrling Island backwaters.  One thing that is missing are the large schools of stickle back.  Has anyone fished the Nicomen area and the mouth of Suicide Creek for cutties? 
I picked up a new Sage Z Axis 6 weight 9ft 6 inch four piece this week and looking forward to trying it out.

Went to the Harrison this afternoon with a friend and had pretty well 2 hours of nice cutthroat action. They were all around us and as close as 10' in front of us, as many as a dozen rising between us at a time. Absolutely beautiful fish, nothing really big maybe 14-15" max but some of them were like little footballs. Fly of choice were sparsely tied muddlers.

I was there a week before (after some scratchy luck in some other more dependable spots) and I saw nuthin'!

In my expereince the Harrison around Kilby and the bridge isn't much of a spot as Xmas approaches and doesn't become a spot of choice until the fry start to move. There will be exceptions of course. There has been the odd year it has been hot.

There's a half dozen spots within 10 minutes that do better.

Your mileage may vary.

Be another month before their in the Harrison in numbers. Stickleback should be there very soon in mid Jan before the chum fry brings the cutthroat into the Harrison, be a good year for them.
