Is it nutrient rich like the interior lakes ? I mean lots of 'bugs' and leaches and things ? Ive heard its a murky type lake as well. It also has tons of Crappies in there I've been told. Spoke to a guy at Mike Lake on Wednesday and he said he caught 50 Crappie in a few hours!!! He also said there is a general rule for these lakes : Mike Lake likes 'green', Whonnock likes 'yellow' and Allouette likes 'red'. Can anyone vouch for what he stated ? I can say 'green' for Mike as I started trolling a green nymph and instantly had success but had no success on a grey one.

I have fished  whonnock before and there are lots of crappie, the water is not murky from what i remember...just a really muddy bottom.

All I remember was some decent size Canada goose droppings in Wonnock some definitely 2 lbs. :o

the shores are discusting at whonnock.....they are covered in a flim of duck $h!t...( i washed my tube and waders after fishing that lake :D)
