Adult Chinook salmon retention opportunities for recreational anglers to be implemented in the mainstem waters of the Thompson River Between Boundary signs just upstream of the confluence of Nicola and Thompson Rivers downstream to the Hwy # 8 bridge at Spences Bridge.

Time\Duration: July 27th to August 13th Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday 6:00am to 9:00pm (21:00 hours) only.

Location: Waters of the Thompson River Between Boundary signs just upstream of the confluence of Nicola and Thompson Rivers downstream to the Hwy # 8 bridge at Spences Bridge.Catch and size Limits: 4 per day > 30cm. Only 1 of the 4 may be over 50cm-fork length.

Sport anglers are reminded to participate in the voluntary Salmon Sport Head Recovery program by labelling and submitting heads from adipose fin-clipped Chinook Salmon. Recovery of coded-wire tags from adipose fin-clipped chinook salmon provides critical information for coast wide stock assessment.
