Def atlantics can tell by that weird upper jaw they got going kinda round`ish.

Another vote for Atlantic salmon.  Wonder if they could bring Masu salmon to raise in net pen fisheries as at least they are 'indigenous' to pacific ocean waters, but not this coast though.

I thought that Masu and Chum were the same fish. That is why Asians love chum so much.

If they are in Continental Asia they would be called:
  • Oncorhynchus masou (Scientific name)
  • Cherry salmon (English name)
  • Sakuramasu (Japanese name)
  • Simayeoneo (Korean Name)
  • Sima (Russian name)

However, the picture does not match the any Sima Salmon that I have seen.

There was a Canadian Geographic cover shot a few years ago of Atlantics in the St. Lawrence - they looked exactly like that. Ugly.
I remember when a group of Japanese hatchery workers visited us at the Capilano Hatchery, they brought smoked and fresh Cherry salmon with them.
