If you google channel cat, there are lots of pics...heres a description of their range: "The native range of channel catfish is believed to be the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River watershed, the Missouri River system, the Mississippi River watershed, Gulf of Mexico watershed and parts of Mexico."

I could see the fraser being a good habitat for them but they shouldn't be there based on their natural range...who knows.

Yeah, I saw some Channel cat pics. Looked similar, but not quite. I saw another picture of a Black Bullhead, and it looked exactly the same. It's not one of those bottom-dwelling brown-ish fish that I catch by accident though. So then I did some research, and found out it was a a species of Bullhead Catfish and also called Mud cats.

So does that mean the Bullhead I've been catching by accident aren't bullheads?

It's not a channel catfish. Most likely you've caught a brown bullhead, which is a catfish species.

Yeah, I recently searched Channel Catfish pics. Sure they look similar but Channel cats are way bigger.
