My buddy and I are fishing from kayaks. Last week we were in cates park. I had 1 pink tied to the side of my boat with a static rope, he had 3, tied with a bungee rope. We don't have much space in our kayak so we just let the fish hang in the water.
After a while, a puppy seal surfaced dangerously close to me, at touching distance, and dive away. We wondered whether or not the seals are gonna make an attemp to our fish, but we decided to go on fishing.
Half an hour later, my friend's fish was snatched by an adult seal. Scared the @#$% out of him. Nearly roll him over. Should it had been me, with a static rope, I'd have taken a swim for sure!
