I've been working in SoCal for the past 8 years and this is a first.
The past couple of days we have had a major heat storm where the power has gone out to a lot of areas, my crews have been working 32 hr shifts in 110 degree temps to help everyone on Labour Day Weekend, there out here making sacrifices and also there families are to.
This morning at about 3:30am one of my crews working in Santa Ana in a pretty rough area, where working getting some wire up that had burned down, when a car full Mexican Bangers pulled up with ice picks and a pistol and got 2 of my guys to empty there pockets. 1 crew member saw this and drove away and called the police, he returned 10 mins later with the cops. Of course the gang members where gone with 2 wallets and cell phones.
It blows me away how you can be in neighborhood helping good people and a few can ruin it. Talking to the people today who were upset because thee power isn't on, I told them it would have been on this morning at 6 but we had to leave cause of gang activity. They just shook there heads.
This just makes my decision to move back at the end of the month feel even better.
