rod warranties and a HUGE thanx to TALON rods

For those of you who own talon rods.... you probably like them for the same reasons i do.... they are so damn tough, an awesome rod to fish.
I never thought it would happen but.... I had one of thier LT2 11 ft rods, built for salt water, just explode while out in nootka.... we did get the fish hehehe
I emailed Talon and got a prompt reply from Dwight in customer service. They simply asked me to send close up digi pics of the break along with my shipping info and they would have a new blank made and shipped to me.
2 weeks later.... to the day..... a new blank arrives.... no fees other than frieght

with quality rods such as these and with customer/warranty service like i have experienced I don't understand why more folks aren't buying and fishing these rods.

Good story.

Curious, any theory on why the blank exploded? a nick in the graphite? you bang it?

really not sure what happened... handed the rod off to a client.... minutes later.... pop!
the client had never fished on a boat before and had very little experience..... i think he clamped down on the reel way too hard and the rod gave out. broke a couple feet above the cork.
