Capilano River September 30th, 2007
« on: September 30, 2007, 09:09:10 PM »

Fished the Cap this afternoon for a few hours, water came up a good 18" in the time I was there...  it was already high but it was just about fishable when I arrived. I didn't get a tag or see any signs of fish moving up, it was not at all fishable when I left....  a bit coloured, not muddy but very high and fast with tons of lumber floating through. Didn't bother with the Seymour as I figured it would be in similar shape.

I recommend EVERYONE stays away from the Cap until at least march  ;D

If anyone was out near the cap they might have seen me and some people one a boat trolling in circles. We had a charter reserved for today but it seems with the high waters all the fish ran up the river. I can't believe how much crap was floating out of it!

We only ended up bringing a hatchey coho to the boat, nice fish but an expensive one ;)
That was my first taste of fishing on the salt though, I really enjoyed it, besides being wet and soggy
