Fishing Birthday Parties at the Fraser Valley Trout HatcheryLooking for new ideas for your kids birthday party? The Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery Visitor Centre now offers birthday parties with a fishy twist! Join us for an educational hatchery tour, fishing and fish biology lessons, and fishing sessions at our ponds that are stocked with hungry rainbow trout. Our facility and staff will provide the setup, cleanup, plates, napkins, cutlery, bbq if needed, tour guide and fishing instructor for 2.5 hours.
Open to Visitors!The Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery Visitor Centre is now open to the public between Wednesday and Saturday from 10:00am to 3:00pm. It provides a fun and educational experience for all ages! Our facility offers self-guided tours including informative videos and live exhibits which showcase a variety of freshwater ecosystems and species native to B.C. Self guided tour admission is by donation. Enjoy a walk around and view the displays available.
Guided Programs - Fields trips for classesAre you a teacher? The Centre has four informative, hands-on and interactive programs developed for pre-school through to grade seven. These programs are age appropriate and tied to the BC School Curriculum's Prescribed Learning Outcomes as listed in the Integrated Resource Packages. Pre and Post Field trip packages are available upon request. They also compliment the 'Salmonids in the Classroom' project sponsored by Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
