As the title says I caught a steel hatch of sorts at the vedder.

Is that sea lice I see or are my eyes fooling me?

I was up on the Vedder this afternoon for a few hours with a buddy... and just to show XGolfman that I'm not a sissy and was willing to endure some "winter"suffering, we took our spey rods.   It was hardly a winter day, more like the fall...never once thought about putting gloves on.

We really didn't expect much....more of "check out the river" type of outing.  Once again the river had several changes since I was there last.  Surprisingly, the water conditions were perfect...lower or upper. Only ran into a few other anglers....no one had hooked anything and they were out for the better part of the day.

No...what's that all about...what did it say?  We didn't get to the river until 12:30 - 1:00

I was there when Cupcake landed that one.  Didn't put up much of fight from what I saw...kinda looked like deadweight.  ;D
