I was in the shop on Tuesday and they also told me this, But it was uncomfirmed ::) The water was super ugly last week, high and muddy, but the upper may have been a little better. So who knows, I think there just trying to get some business while its slow.

Ill be out hunting some steelhead tomorrow, so if its in decent shape maybe ill find some luck.

It is possible.  I caught one in October of 06 and me and a friend both caught one in October 07.  However, knowing the local shop like I do, I'm sure they're taking every chance they can get to stir up some hype.

Not that I am saying one has not been caught but we get these reports around this time each year. The shops like to get people out there too for some reason. ;D ;D

Who will be the first to land one from this forum? I think it will be me followed by Every Day. ;D ;D ;D

I was out until Darkness, and had the whole river to myself. ;D That was until I came across a guy who was snagging old chum, with 3 on the beach, as much as I wanted to tell him, I was on a mission for some fishin. The water llooked great, but a tad higher. I got that feeling the first steelhead is just another cast away, if you know what i mean.
