i have a black one , never lined!  I play with it  all the time.   i want to use it but.. it's a rare reel to find.
if i were you id keep it covered . but play with it  with it too .  they are like the 80's silex's if then arent used they may seize.   good luck with that pin!! it's a sweet reel

PINS ARE MADE TO BE USED!!  i have 28 now and use each one once each year the gooders like wcdonalds, imw ! dave swollow , islander, 3 milners. king fisher , king fishir bearing, king fisher snipe by mr millner. talisman .  avons , a campbell , Talismans...3.5 inc 3 of em 4.75 inch 4 inch,

ps , none of the milners have been lined but the 4 inch.

somtimes it is hard to keep a gilrl, id rather fish !! can we start a supotrt club!!
think of the you wolld save  if fishing shops never existd
