saltwater reels in fresh

can you use saltwater reels in freshwater ? is it okay  will it damage the reel  , i thinking of buying  the shimano spheros cause it has a  high pound drag

no it wont damage the reels, but if it was the other way around you might want to rinse or wipe it down with a wet cloth.... :)

even if you get a saltwater reel its a good idea to rinse it down well after taking it out in the salt.  Even if it wont rust the salt can crystallize and bung stuff up.
