Going to Norway, any tips or suggestions?
« on: July 01, 2008, 09:47:21 PM »

Howdy fishers, I am making my anual vacation trip, where I take my fishing rod to see the sites.  This time its Norway... Anyone been there and have some really awsome sites that should not be missed?  We are planning to do a hike along an old pilgrimage route for a few days, and after that we haven't made plans, so please let me know if you have suggestions.

Many thanks,

Jonny

What month Jonny?

Lofoten is the place to visit for big atlantic cod under the midnight sun.

I will be going Aug 1st till about the middle of the month, then I get off the plane and head to northern BC for some slammin salmon... its a tough life some times  ;D

I think our plans are now set with a 10 day hike around some fjords and a bit of oceanic related fun...   I even have permission to bring one fishing rod haha.

Tell me more about this cod fishing though, it sounds interesting.
