Roe sacks
« on: October 10, 2008, 07:07:13 AM »

Where can I get instruction on making my own roe bags?   I have quite a bit of roe and would like to try to make some sacks.

My suggestion is to go to a tackle shop and get a roe bag tying machine. It's an orange device. Nothing fancy but helps a lot.
Get some spawn net, spider thread and you are good to go.

No need to buy the machine.  Just make an OK sign with your thumb and fore finger and put your netting in that :)

The machine is useless and a waste of money.  By some mesh, I prefer the Melnak or Spawn Net brand, some spider thread and your ready to go.
