Where those fish that are laying in the shallows released?

Yes they were, and before you say that they should not be in the shallows, they were in the shallows for no more than 15 seconds TOPS. I always hold my fish in the deeper water while my buddy get the camera ready or vise versa. I would NEVER do anything to harm the fish, and they all swam away with bursts of energy.
I always try to fight the fish as quick as possible to not tire it out and then keep it in the water while I get the camera ready.

Like I said, these fish were in the shallows for MAX 15 seconds before they were released.
