Harrison River, March 12th 2009: It was cold on the river..
« on: March 12, 2009, 12:04:12 PM »

Harrison River was very cold lately, but the cutties were baiting.
Didn't keep any as it was too cold even with gloves on hands, but had a few bites. It was 50/50. Two hatchery and two wild ones.. Then the cold winds came up and I had to move to Chehallis River. Saw one steelhead there and spooked it with the third cast..
Looking forward to warmer days soon..

is there any good places to fish for cuttys on the harrison where you dont need a zodiac or boat. could you do this from kirbys provincial park - if that is the correct name? have you heard any reports of good numbers of steelies in the chehalis yet MrGrey? would love to fish this river for steelies as it is beautiful, thanks alot

Its called Kilby....
Yes you can beach fish pretty much all the way down the Harrison, cutties like backwaters and side channels with cover.
