A worthwhile article to read from The Vancouver Sun.
Pay special attention to the paragraph about carrying half of our present generating capacity to Cali by 2016..

And all along we've been told "we need the power in BC" . Don't kid yourself this electricity is for one thing
California/US export. British Columbians will not be benefiting from this except in short term job creatiion
to build these projects. The Bigger picture is the money from the sales of this electricity will line the pockets
of these private ROR co's.  NOT BCHYDRO and BC Citizens.

Right now BC is a net exporter of energy to the tune of $700 mill- $1 Billion. Think for one second if BC Hydro
could increase that amount by doing other viable green energy projects and putting the profits back into
BC ! Healthcare,Enviroment,Education.
