indian arm?

hey gang thinking of launching my 16 footer and going up indian arm on friday. any chance of hooking anything? i have never been up there and am unfamiliar with the area, and any fishing opportunities. any help/advice would be appreciated.

most of the pinks have gone up the arm, my experience is when they get up there they dont bite and color up.not sure what happens when they get in the river.

there is cod and flounder to be had there, not sure of the regs, but they can easily be caught by fishing a herring strip a couple feet off the bottom.

Indian Arm falls in DFO's management area 28 (see this page for reg.). There is currently no openings for retention of rockfish and lingcod in this area. You can fish for flounders and soles. Pink salmon travel up Indian Arm this time of the year. You may also encounter the odd cutthroat trout if lucky.

There are two rockfish conservation areas where fishing is not allowed in Indian Arm:

Indian Arm while scenic is not where it is at for pinks right now. Wouldnt waste my time.
If you want to catch fish head up the sunshine coast. Davis bay, porpoise bay are where its
at.
These will provide you with good fishing right now. As well mouth of the fraser is holding
a good number of pinks right now.

If I were you head up sechelt way.

thanks for all the replies. yeah i kinda figured things would be a little barren up there. maybe i'll drag the boat out to kilby or even vancouver and cruise around spanish banks for a while. cheers. :-[

If you do go up Indian Arm drop a couple of crab traps on the way up
