Firstly, that's a pretty broad statement and doesn't really refer to anything specific.  "Influenced" could mean dozens of things.  i.e. if mortgaage rates are too high the government may take some action to correct that for homeowners.  Your all encompassing statement has nothing to do with what this thread is about.

Secondly, you have not backed your statement up with anything.  Where's your support information that relates to salmon?

--government will make it a priority if we make it a priority.
--we have to show the value of recreational fishery in creating jobs in retail and hospitality industries.
--I know these have been pointed out in various surveys etc but most are in fishing magazines.
--Anyone that fishes knows they spend money on the sport.
--how about some constructive ideas to the minister, mla's and mp's
--Just ask the people of small communities along the Fraser and Thompson what fishing used to bring to them.
--what about some of that infatsructure money to promote closed pen aquaculture and some money for real fisheries research.
--as much as the Vedder is crowded.. how about taking pictures and sending them along to the minister that doesn't think recreational fishing is an important revenue generator.
--lets all send a picture from our next fishing trip to Penner and Shea, maybe the fish cant vote the the fishers can.
