Chilliwack River, October 2nd 2009
« on: October 02, 2009, 03:59:17 PM »

Got to the river around 630 am, was the 2nd person there. About 15 minutes later about 45 people had arrived.

Way too many old pinks to effectively fish right now for anything else near BC train bridge. i saw one very dark spring landed and another fairly fresh one killed over 3.5 hrs.
Water is low. We'll stay away for a week or so...

Hey Hook, too bad you left when you did because not more than 15 minutes later, a big run of Ho's came in and FFM and I both finished our limits.  We stopped because we ran out of roe!

I went out today at first light and did well,we ended up with a nice 8 lb hatch hoe that we kept and released 6 jacks and 1 wild hoe! All our fish were caught on chum roe.Lots of dirty pinks around that seem to get in the way of your drift.Lots of guys bunched in the same spots, mid river not doing well. But if you cover alot a water and not turn into a fence post you should do well!            GOOD LUCK!

Just think about it, we fish dawn to dust, as soon as we get home clean our fish and then talk to all our buddys been out on the river so we can get the latest news, and then we going to our room to tie fly or spinner although we have hundreds similar already, but "Hook" de jour might be different, aren't we are lucky bunch.
