In my opinion fly fishing with a sink tip is by far the best way to floss fish or snag fish and anyone that disagrees hasn't fished enough to realize this.

Guess i have not been fishing enough :-\

I fished the Fraser where many were snagging pinks yet with my sink tip i only snagged two fish all day
i had many Pinks take my fly that day
I even had two fly fishermen come and watch my method as they were not getting them to bite

you can accidently or purposley  snag fish with most set ups fly or gear
you can cut down the amount of accidental snags if you change you method (see Typhoons post)
Just my opinion

I dissagree, and I have fished more places and caught more fish than 99% of the people on here.

you can snag or floss fish with any method you wish.

and trust me its easier to floss/snag with big hunks of lead and large hooks.

I had a great time fishing this past weekend with Gooey, our first trip together in ages. We didn't snag even one fish between us, I didn't for sure and I 'm pretty sure about Gooey. People just need to get thier gear off the bottom and let the float drift freely straight down river, not sweep it diagonally across.

I can't claim to be an expert fly fisher..yet, But i think I'm pretty good, and I have'nt snagged one fish all year. With all these pinks in the river I just cast downstream and mid river, not across. I just retrieve with short quick strips. No swing=no snags. Or flosses. But lots of clean, top of the mouth hook ups.
The pinks are stacked up on the sides of the river so...don't cast there.

Lol...
I fly fish because of the sport, and because of how much more difficult it is to hook a fish (and land a fish).
If I wanted to snag and floss fish every day I would take out my gear rod and not my light fly rod.
If you fly fish effectivley I would say 99% of fish are biting, then again people can find all sorts of ways to fish unfairly with any method.
Technically with your logic fly fishers should be catching way more fish in the mouth than gear guys through flossing, not the case.
In fact I would say that unless the fly guy is a pro that fly fishers would only get 50% of what gear guys get.

I think you need to reread the post a few times till you understand it. I was only saying how to easily avoid flossing. maybe you are responding to another post, can't tell.
