only to a height of 1.5m  thats what mine is shockproof to (5feet) the super tough ones are supposed to be shockproof to 3m (10feet) perhaps you read it wrong or something. they are great cameras because i have dropped mine a bunch and yes they are good to -10 because mine sat in the snow for a few hours one day LOL

Glad to hear you tested the Tough brand out for me.    I am guessing you have the 8000.

The Olympus uTough 6010 is same as 6000 except with a few extra features.  The 6010 is advertised as able to be submersed to 3m and shockproof to a height of 1.5m.  Not sure when or if it will be offered in Canada/USA. 

I was deciding between the 8000 and 6010.  Decided on the 6010 because it was not as heavy and cheaper.  The 8000 is more robust though.

I looking at the 8000 model which has the image stabilizer built in rated for depths up to 30 feet.  My older model did hit some reefs in the caribbean but it's still functioning well with some battle scars on it.

Thanks, working on the coho video, a bit harder to find a perfect candid shot, just some blurry shot not worth posting yet.  Perhaps someone can add to this for us to see.

I dont have a super tough which are the ones good to 30feet underwater and for a 10foot drop. Or at least thats what they say. I have an Olympus Stylus 790SW so it only does half the super tough. That doesnt mean it hasnt been dropped though LOL

My favourite thing is getting fish underwater shots
