Waders?
« on: October 08, 2009, 07:12:22 PM »

Hey gang:

My waders from Ont have not arrived yet, and it seems I'll be heading out on Sat, and possibly Monday. So, the question is, I am in Surrey, and I don't drive, is there an idea of a place to pick up waders? Travelling to North Van, is ok, just I'm not familiar with the transit n that side of the Frasier yet :D. An suggestions on waders aswell, I have breathables from Bass Pro, I have a pair of 3mm "Bare" Neoprene's, and also a piar of "Streamside" breathables which I use as a "3'RD" Pair, find them a little stiff.

Price is not my concern, but with 3 pairs on the way, does anyone have any idea's, and also where to shop? And I don't want to goto Canadan Tire ;D

Thx in advance:

Float.

Goto Army's and Navy.  The one in Langley has good selection of fishing gears, waders included.

Yep, Army & Navy is a good bet for you, but the New Westminster store will be much closer to your Surrey location I think as it's just across the Patullo bridge... they have a very good selection of fishing gear, bottom floor.

If you're headed to North Van, Highwater Tackle can help you out.  They're quite close to the Seabus.  Try www.translink.bc.ca and click on trip planner.

How big are you?
I have a pair of XXL 3mm neos and a pair of old rubber waders with boots attached to them (boot is size 12).
I also have a spare pair of Simms wading boots (size 12). I could lend you any of them till your stuff arrives.

With three pairs of waders coming your way it just seems a waste of $$$ to buy yet another pair.
