hi there...im just wondering if any of the guys out there that fly fish the vedder....for like coho and springs. It is from berrys...could you look and tell me what you think...or recommend me to use...and i don't want to invest alot of money into this just in case it doesn't work the way i want it to...the link is

Your link shows a 5 wt rod and reel combo, fine for trout, but not for coho and springs.  You would want at least a 7wt or 8wt combo.  Preferably a 8wt setup.
What is your budget for rod, reel and line?

I took a look and it's for the SA 9 ft 5 wt rod and Dragonfly 5/6 reel - is that what you're thinking?  If so - this set-up is far too light for salmon - especially for springs!  This appears to be a trout set-up.

If you want to flyfish for salmon, an 8 weight set-up is probably a good starting point.  Try searching this site or check out the flyfishing cafe part of the forum.  You're bound to find lots of useful information...

Rieber has a setup for sale in the Buy&Sell section. I think he's asking 350 for a Gloomis GL3 rod with a multitip setup. I think it's a 9wt. He's also throwing in a couple fly boxes loaded with flies. It's a good deal but a bit higher than your price range. It's on page 3 of the buy&sell.

A 9' 8wt setup would be great.  I have landed many Pacific salmon of all species and even a couple steelhead on the Chilliwack/Vedder system on my 9' 8wt TFO rod that retails for just over $100.  You can find some wicked deals on good used stuff too.
