Yes, try to dig up rag worms in the mud. They work well, but they look disgusting.

they have a nasty bite as well...via an "aliens" like extrudable set of finger munchers.  On the little ones it is no big deal but the big ones (12inch plus) can give you considerable pain!

Yes it does hurt. It happend to me last year so thats why I stopped using them. It started to crawl up my finger so I took a knife and cut it off but I ended up nipping my finger too.  >:(

Yeah, they look disgusting. In my home country they use them all the time, almost like 50% of people use them unless they lure. I know they are really good but there no bait shops around(never seen one) so i couldnt get them and didnt know where i could get them. Anyways, i might just pick them up with something other than my hand. Thanks a lot for the info! :D

Any rocky beaches at low tide, flip a rock and look for a little hole.  You don't need too many as you can cut one up into pieces.  Smaller pieces will work better on the hook anyways; if you use too large a piece the fish will just rip the whole thing off and you'll be fishing baitless before you know it.
