Englishman River or the Beaches over Easter?
« on: March 25, 2010, 10:12:32 PM »

Off to Vancouver Island for the Annual Family Easter Get together. Will be spending it in the Parksville area.
My brother wants me to take him fishing. He will have to buy a one day licence...So, my question is should we fish in Saltwater or Freshwater....We will be flyfishing

Most of those flows are closed to protect the few steelies left. Nothing really going on off the beach either except cutts here and there. Some ok lakes around but slim pickins this area/time of year.

I have fished the englishman with EVERYDAY during the coho run. Very nice river. I know EVERYDAY can probably point you in the right direction when he sees your post.If its open i know there are cuttys in there too.

head into nw bay logging camp. lots of lakes in there. it just before you get to parksville. ask the guard at the gate and he can lead you in the right direction.
