Ride to Conquer Cancer

The ride to conquer cancer is a 260km bike ride on the weekend of June 19/20. This fundraising event is put on by the BC Cancer Foundation and is supported by over 1700 participants. This years ride is from Vancouver to Seattle, all participants must fund raise a minimum of $2,500 each.  Vic Carrao owner of STS Guiding Service and his daughter Deanna are both entered to ride this June. Combined our goal is to reach a minimum of $5000 but we hope to get the number as high as possible.

So far many of our friends, members of fishing with rod and past clients have made generous donations to get us near our target goal. To push us even further STS Guiding Service has donated a weekend fishing vacation for two including accommodations, breakfast, lunch and 2 days guided fishing. Vic & Deanna will be your guides so it should be fun. All people donating will be enter to win, good luck

To help raise additional funds we have put together a few items to auction off. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to the ride to conquer cancer and help us reach our final goal. To make a bid on an item, just send us an e-mail with your bid. We will accept bids until April 31, 2010. Keep coming back as we will add more items as we receive them.

Item #8 – Box of collector reels ( this box contains some old reels some may consider collector reels. I wont list all the reels but I will say there is 4 out of the 8 that are very nice. 1 Abu Garcia 7000, 1 Abu Garcia 5000, 1 hardy fly reel and several other very nice reels including a mooching reel by Allcocks of England and a an old fly reel from Thos Cemm, Vancouver, BC. One bid for all, min bid should be $100.
