Hey guys/girls,

I saw a picture that Nicole posted of a wool and roe combo but I don't get how to put them on together. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can use a loop knot to combine the two together.Too hard for myself to explain how to tie it without showing you as my dad taught me by showing me how to do it.

With roe, you re-bait often, so if the wool in in the bait loop, you loose it all too often.  The best way I've found is to get a mono loop attach that to a needle and  use the loop to pull wool through a rubber egg.  You end up with rubber eggs on a string of wool.  Clip the wool  every 2" so you have a 3/4" piece of wool hanging out each side of the rubber egg.

Then thread this wool/rubber egg on your mainline right above the hook- this way, even if you loose your roe, you're still fishing with a jensen egg/wool combo.

If you want to get fancy pants you can tie a double bait loop. If I recall, one loop is fixed,the other is sliding. Still, the single loop is knot is the simplest approach. With the wool tucked up against the eye of the hook, you don't lose the wool as often as you think. Roe and chartreuse wool is my favouite combination for coho.

Or you could tie a puff-ball (wool egg) before you cinch up your bait loop knot, slip some wool in the very bottom loop (2 x 1 inch pieces, you decide on the color combo) cinch down, pinch the wool and trim with scissors in the shape of an egg.
You can use this on its own or throw roe in the adjustable loop at the top.

Some times i will tie the wool with a simple granny knot above my hook and comb it out. I can slide it up the line when rebaiting my hook.
