Is the Cap blocked?
« on: June 30, 2010, 05:20:07 PM »

The Cap camera shot seems to show very little flow now compared to a few weeks ago. Usually, this means the natives will start blocking the river at the lower end. Has any one seen that happening yet? It is no point to head out to fish the lower section if this happens. Thanks for any input to save a trip.

It's usually around this time the natives set up their shopping carts.

If they only block from the train bridge, fish can still go through at high tides, but if they block as high up as the Marine Drive bridge, then no fish can get through at any tides and you can kiss the fresh water portion good bye and focus at the river mouth (make sure you have a tidal license though).  ;)

Low water in the Cap means I have a chance for them at the mouth. Anyone fishing in the Chuck around Ambleside having any luck?
