I take it braided line casts like mono???
What lb test would be comparable to say 4-8 lb mono?

4-8 lb braid would be comparable to 4-8 lb mono. Braided line would be thinner, have no memory and therefore cast better.

--4 lb mono about same size as 12lb braid
--8 lb mono about same size as 30lb braid
