Chilliwack River, July 31st 2010
« on: July 31, 2010, 03:58:07 PM »

Not much happening today.

Was down lower river from around 6:00am to 10:00am and did not see nor hook into anything subtantial other than some small trout.

I guess the run must be over. Have to wait until September now.........

It seemed like it as I went out 5 times and I have yet to hook one.

I am not sure how others are doing.

was out yesterday and it was a great morning. 8) first cast my float went down, felt a couple small tugs but was off before i knew it, must have been a small trout. ??? my buddy got a small trout in a shallow tail-out on his retrieve. fished many runs and pools started up top and worked down as low as the railway bridge. :-[ my first salmon season on the vedder. personally enjoy the winter better on that system. :D cant wait to hook into my first salmon on the beautiful system we all love so much. take it easy and tight lines...

I fished 3 runs on the 31st, got a trout and a dolly in one, sockeye in the second run and a nice 20+ doe in the last.
Doe had some colour. The run is definitely coming to an end.
Good variety.
