Fraser River mouth, September 8th 2010

Wow, we are blessed to have an ocean as bountiful and calm as it was this afternoon. My best buddy Chris and I headed out for another sockeye quest. Didn't take us long to find them (despite the incredibly strong tide) half way between the North arm and T10. I must have dialed in to what these late run monsters wanted because my custom crafted hoochies got us in to a couple of quadruple hits. It was like a fire drill with only two midlife crisis fishing buddies trying to make sense of the 4 fish going in opposite directions. We managed to net only 1 of them. Most of them pretended to be flying fish as I coaxed them into the boat by hoisting them in by the scruff of their flashers. I love this tired feeling. Very satisfying trip, as short and as sweet as it was ;D. Gofishon!
