This is bothersome.
« on: September 19, 2010, 05:46:54 PM »

Down for a walk to the river to see if any cohos are coming up during the high tide.  6 anglers standing side by side not even able to cast, but just drift their wool through a narrow piece of the river.  A fish swims up and these guys literally ran up stream found where the fish was hiding under the overhanging bank and proceeded to wiggle their hooks in front of the fish on top of the fish etc.  Like the fish obviously had the crap scared out of it, it was heading for cover.  It's not going to eat your tasty little wool ball.  Why bother??  Are we that desperate?

Sorry for the venting.

I didn't see a mention of the vedder.

There's nothing wrong with sight fishing for fish of any type, it's the sight snagging that is a problem.

Fishing this area is like getting cancer. It destroys everything. and only a few survive to beat it.

On a positive note, they weren't trying to put the hook under its chin and then reef!

Trick question right ;) Let me guess, they'll all use their bouncing betty's for sling shot ammo ::)
