If I have the energy, I'd be there tomorrow morning to get those beautiful coho that we saw.

Having only 1 day to fish this month, I decided to take yesterday off as well.  The morning started off pretty slow for me.  I started off the day at 6:30 in a rarely fished portion of the river, sacrificing productivity for some peace and quiet.  But only 10 minutes after arriving, two other gents show up and start fishing the tiny hole that I was drifting (surrounded by about 1km of vacant water with plenty of good spots!  ::)).  No worries, I wasn't up for pack fishing, so I opted to walk downstream to the next run where I connected with a couple of jack coho, all wild and gently released.  The rest of the day was fairly steady.  Did quite a bit of scouting and covered lots of water.  The catch total was 3 jack springs, 3 jack coho, and 1 of the healthiest sockeye I've seen ;D.  Not bad, but not fantastic considering that I fished for about 12 hours.  All released with the exception of this jack that turned out to be a red!

Vancook, were you the guy I fished with for a while?  I recognize those Spring Jacks.  I'm the guy in the red truck who arrived & caught one on a Colorado blade.

Rod, was that you above the train bridge wearing a blue hoodie chuckin' a lure of some sort, then fly-fishing?

Small fishing world...  In any case, I educated a guy below the train bridge using a 9-ft leader & a bouncing betty--THANKS SOCKEYE FISHING!
why yes that was me who was fishing with you. Small world indeed

Great report, man!  I'm hitting the water at first light tomorrow, if you have any tips on where to start give me a shout at my email below!  Catch and re-leaf!

I guess using a Maple Laugh hoodie as a roe towel is a good idea !! would be useful also if you found yourself having to go number two on the flow  ;)
