Tidal Fraser River, October 18th 2010

Fishing was not as consistent this afternoon compared to yesterday, but for about 30 minutes we had an intense period of bites. Beside one wild coho jack that we released, Nina was able to bring this in and the adipose fin was absent. :D



Gman hooked a good sized coho salmon. When it approached shore, I noticed and said "the adipose fin is not there." and a second later it spat the hook out. ;) Next time I will keep my mouth shut.

Clarity is even better today.

I never made it today, I was walking my dog across the river in the foreshore nature reserve area. Took a look across to the fishing bar and it was absent of cars and people around 1:00pm
I will make a trip tomorrow after work...should arrive just before high tide.

No, I have to take blame for losing that beauty. :o It was exciting to hook  and play it though, especially on the light spiining rod.

For some reason I had no luck on th bar rod, not even a  nibble when the bite was on. Maybe something wrong with that batch of roe? If I go out again I'll take come differnet roe.

Took a sick day today and fished the South Arm.  Was fairly slow but not bad at all (better then working  :D ) Similar experience with the 1/2 hour of biting frenzy.  Brought a small hatch coho home.

Not sure why you and others around us were not getting bites like us. ;D For a little while, we were getting bites as soon as the weight sank to the bottom. :o There must have been a big school of jacks swimming by.

The difference is Rodney had Nina with him.  You guys are just....  Guys.  Fish are sick and tire of seeing you guys.    ;D ;D

That's not it !! Fish just like to be in {fish} porn flicks, which you tend to make a lot of. They see your vid cam and get all excited. ;D ;D
