Stave River's steelhead stock is entirely hatchery supplemented. Ten pairs (not entirely sure, as the number is just off the top of my head) of brood fish are collected to produce the stock, so one should not expect a big return compared to what other larger systems may receive.

Stave was decent today. Water vis. was 6 ft plus, which is more than I can say for the Vedder right now.
Lots of dogs, but no coho being caught that I saw.

anybody been out to this system recently? Should be some steelhead pushing in soon but finding them is a task and half gonna try drifting some snakes maybe a couple of blades or two come the start of december with all this rain we've been having some might be coming in early

Looked great yesterday, but we hit a bunch of rainfall in Chilliwack, so I cant say anymore.
