Up on the island steelheading, maybe planning on moving here. The fishing here has been fantastic with about 1-6 fish a day. Won't tell you guys which river but will leave it for you guys to explore. Anyways I'd like to share some pictures with you guys!

Nice! Looks like a great trip. We're planning on moving up to Courtenay area next year, can't wait.

i also enjoy the islands flows, small yet nice big bright fish. and is the quinsam or the oyster river? fished both last winter with the fly rod didnt prety good.

Hehe, I cant say. I'm sorry! Have yet to pull out the fly rod, but it seems like you'll have better luck with it than the vedder for sure!

Great shots Squirrel!  Looks like an amazing little stream.  Maybe the tannic water will help narrow down my search for this flow  ;)

Great post FS!
I would love to go up to the Island for some steelheading, but have not been able to put it in motion so to speak.
Maybe next season I will make it up there.
