I would think it's a combination of yearlings and catchables.

I was there on Saturday with my daughter for a couple of hours and did not see any caught, there was 5 boats and 1 tuber with a couple along the shore.Going to your question about the mix I would only be guessing catchables and brood

Which website did you retrieve that data and what date is it from? The answer will be pretty easy to obtain once these two pieces of information are given.

I know that some surplus Fraser Valley rainbow trout broods (~2.2kg) went into Mill Lake last Friday, but definitely not 10,000 of them... ;)

Tomorrow morning I'll be working with a couple of staff from the hatchery so will ask.

Hi Britguy,

These are actually surplus 2g fry.  We actually put 40,000 of them in.

If you don't like the fish you're catching... change the bait!!

Been there a few times in the last week, with no success. I fish there a lot, and talked with some of the other regulars as well as new folks. Although there have been some broods and a few catchables taken, fishing has been very slow, especially for the number of anglers out.

One new guy was saying Three Timbers has been good (and a lot closer for him). But getting down to it, my lure weighs more than the 2g fry you released, nineweight. Maybe a size 26 hook'll improve my chances!

But hope springs eternal. Any time now...

Or maybe I should start going for some pinks? ;)
