Valley of Fire State Park - Nevada
« on: May 01, 2011, 09:31:03 AM »

Someone suggested that Valley of Fire was a good destination while I was in Vegas, they were right - 110%.  I had thougth that I'd hit VoF and Zion in one day.  HAH!!! I drove around VoF for over 8 hours shooting!!!  What a WONDERFUL place.

Here are a couple of the hundreds of shots:

The sky was soo clear and the polarizer really helped the rocks and sky POP!

The link takes you to the pano that's 2K wide.  What an AMAZING view!

I'll get more processed as time goes on.

Sometimes.  Depends on where I am etc.  If not, I just end up cropping more at the top and bottom because of the inevitable horizon drift when shooting by hand.

More from Valley of Fire State Park. We were considering doing a morning there, and then continuing to Monument National Park. Hah! We spent a FULL day out shooting. We ended up with almost 1000 pictures! I’ve whittled it down to the 60 or so BEST shots on Flickr. What an amazing place. I’d love to be there at sunrise.

Comments here or on Flickr appreciated.
